With this privacy policy, we intend to ensure the protection of any voluntarily offered personal information in a manner that fosters valuable, trusting and long-standing relationships.

This privacy policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, practices, or actions of any third parties. If you submit personal information to any third-party website or SMS messaging program, your information will be governed solely by their privacy policies (if any).

Petersburg Community Development Corporation may amend this policy without notice to you, and such amendments will become effective when posted on info@petersburgcdc.org.

What Information We Collect

When you visit our website or use our SMS messaging, you may disclose two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose (collected on an individual basis) and site usage information (collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse the site).

Credit Card Information: When you donate to Petersburg Community Development Corporation, standard credit card information is collected through a third-party payer that is required to comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. The third-party payer provides us with, and we store, the account holder, card type, last four digits of your credit card number, card expiration date, and the authorization code. Online donors are added to our mailing lists. You may opt out at any time by emailing info@petersburgcdc.org.

Email Information: If you choose to correspond with us via email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. You may opt-out at any time. You may also request an opt-out by emailing info@petersburgcdc.org. We do not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside of Petersburg Community Development Corporation.

Site usage information: Petersburg Community Development Corporation does not separately monitor your personal activity on our site. We do track (via Google Analytics, which utilizes cookies) collective, anonymous user data to evaluate the effectiveness of our website.

SMS Information: If you choose to correspond with us via SMS messaging, we may retain the content of your SMS messages together with our responses. You can opt-in by replying with a response to our initial SMS message. To opt-out, simply reply “STOP” to any SMS message you receive from us. By opting in, the frequency of messages will be up to 2 messages per month. Your initiated SMS exchange with us may increase the frequency.  SMS messaging is not shared with 3rd parties.

Petersburg Community Development Corporation uses personal information for purposes of administering and expanding our service and charitable activities. We may use your personal information for:

  • responding to your inquiries and fulfilling your requests such as to process donations and/or send you information about upcoming properties;
